Day 25, 6:35 PM

Today was Superhero Day! Some good deeds that I feel good about and that made me feel good. First of all, it was really raining this morning so instead of making my middle daughter walk with me in the pouring rain from the car to the school, I dropped her off in the front of the school where she remained completely dry. Yep, good deed :) And, the biggy good deed - today is my mom's birthday. I called her to wish her a happy birthday, but something was still bugging me. That superhero voice inside kept telling me that I really should go and see her. Mom and I don't have that "bond" like other mother/daughters. She wasn't there for me when I was growing up, but, of course, she was 16 when she had me. I have forgiven her, but the bond is still just not there. Anyway, I went and bought her some perfume and a cake. Everybody should have a cake on their birthday. Besides, I am the only one that she has. So, my three daughters and I loaded up with her perfume and cake and went to see her. She was surprised. It felt good. EVERYBODY SHOULD HAVE A CAKE ON THEIR BIRTHDAY!
