It's been awhile since I've posted anything. I haven't been very superheroie lately (I'm sure that's not a word...). Just trying to maintain. I'd like to start back being a superhero so stay tuned - same bat time, same bat channel.

Day 50-54

Well, I performed a superhero deed to (day 54). I wasn't expecting it. An older gentleman flagged me down as I was heading home from picking up my daughters from swim practice. There was another older lady across the road that needed to use a phone because her car broke down. Of course, I pulled over and dialed the number for the lady and gave her the phone. She was unable to reach her sister so I kept trying. In the meantime, a couple pulled up behind us asking if we needed help. I explained that her car quit in the middle of the road. They pulled over to assist. Still no luck. I called my husband to come and help. In the meantime, another couple pulled over to assist. We got in touch with her sister and they were also coming to help. The dear older woman was a diabetic and not feeling to well. She had a cell phone, but it was not with her. She also had diabetic medicine, but it was not with her. The first couple was going to take her home and my husband and I were going to stay at her car until her sister and nephew came. All the men that had pulled over pushed her car off to the side. Well, about the time she was getting in the car, her relatives pulled up. She hugged us all. I'm finding out that there are more and more superheros in this world that I didn't know existed.

Day 45-49

Not much going on in the way of superhero stuff. I'm pretty much at home all the time. I did answer the phone the other day to talk to someone that I knew would talk for awhile and I really didn't feel like talking. That was a superhero deed - they really needed to talk to someone. You see, I'm not one of those women that like to talk on the phone all the time.

I also mopped my floor - probably not a good idea. I've been a little moody these past two days, not sure why. Maybe because my uterus is gone? Nope, don't think so. I want to be well again. I can't imagine being in shape and being able to exercise. I hope that I can.

Guys, help me - I'm 42 and not sure about my life. I'm a little depressed right now. What I mean by that is I'm wanting to really do something amazing with my life. I want to be an amazing person.

Day 40, 41, 42, 43, 44

Sorry for not posting. You can't do too many superhero things while lying in bed all day. There have been many, many superheros to visit my house this week. They are:

  • my 2 dear friends from high school who brought us a casserole
  • my dear exfather-in-law and his beautiful wife who brought us apple pie, cornbread, cabbage, macaroni and cheese, and rotisserie (spelling??) chicken
  • my 5th grade teaching team who brought us chicken tenders, potato wedges, broccoli salad, bread, and a cookie cake (for my birthday)
  • my dear 2nd mom who brought us 2 pizzas, a pack of Oreos, and drinks
  • my dear counselor at school who brought us a roast
  • my dear friend and her daughter who brought us 3 different packs of Oreos

If you haven't figured it out yet, I love Oreo's. I turned 42 this week. There are so many superheros in my life. Oh, and my oldest daughter made me cupcakes for my birthday.

Day 39, 6:29

I had my first adventure out to a doctor's appointment since my surgery. I could have been a superhero today, but I decided not to. There was a lovely old gentleman in front of us in the office. His daughter, I'm assuming, signed him in. First let me say, I don't know where this man got his outfit and I'll try to explain it. It was brown and blue plaid (big plaids, not small) and almost looked like a prison suit - just the wrong colors. He also had on a hat with plaids, but different plaids. Going in, I wanted to laugh (sorry, I'm a superhero, but human also). Well, after his daughter turns around, she can't find him. She's going, "Where did he go? Did he go back?" She really is about to panic. I see the gentlemen sitting down, but I can't tell her because I know that I will laugh and it will really hurt if I laugh (I'm still in a lot of pain). So, I didn't tell her. She finally sees him and says, "Oh, there you are. You blended in with the couch."

Day 37 & 38

Nothing.

Day 36

This is the next day for Day 36. I don't feel good at all. I'm sorry; I've been on so much pain medication that I can't remember if there was a superhero deed yesterday. I'll think about it today.
